How Adiona cobots are built?

Created 100% by Romanian engineers.

The body is manufactured from steel using CNC tools.

The firmware and software is created by Romanian IT engineers and it can be adapted to any warehouse configuration or IT system ecology.

The manufacturing process is cost-effective on small series and is able to scale up depending on needs.

Technical characteristics

  • Size: 540x540x175mm
  • Net weight: 40 kg
  • Maximum load (tare weight): 80 kg
  • Cruise speed: 10km/h
  • Autonomy: up to 4 hours of continuous movement
  • Chassis: welded steel, 3D printed plastic, aluminium rotor active wheels.

Functional capabilities

  • Autonomous navigation: to fulfill orders from the IT system.
  • Automatic box lifting from the shelves: Lifts the box, transport it, deposit on a packaging area shelf, waits for processing, transports it back to the original location.
  • Self charging: yes
  • Programmable: yes
  • Automatic obstacle avoidance: yes, using LASER 3D camera and various other sensors
  • Path reconfiguration: in case of obstacle or closure it can find a different route

Cobots, or collaborative robots, machines created to interact with humans in a work environment in order to free workers from having to perform repetitive, complex, or hazardous tasks. Cobots don't replace operators but work together with them in a safe and more efficient way.

Increased productivity: In large warehouses with a huge collection of items, cobots increase efficiency in picking. They travel around the facility so that pickers can keep a relatively reduced work area.
Lower operating costs: Fulfill more orders with the same personnel because a lot of the traveling and transportation is done by cobots day and night.
Scalability: Scaling down or up is easier when using cobots. Just add more or put some at rest. Cobots can be easily assigned to different routes anytime.

Transport parcels from specific point in warehouse to the packaging area.
Autonomously loads and unloads boxes from the shelves and transports them to/from the packaging area.
